Ron Paul vs Legal Plunder

When I read the book The Revolution A Manifesto by Ron Paul he talked about something caled "legal plunder" and referred to Frederick Bastiat as a source of reference to legal plunder. What is legal plunder?

Frederic Bastiat, a political economist (1801-1850), defined legal plunder as when “…the law takes from some persons what belongs to them and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong.” He advised such a law be abolished without delay, for if allowed to remain, it would “spread, multiply, and develop into a system.”

That system would be Socialism followed by a Totalitarian state. When this country began itself, it too immediately thereafter began it's course for legal plunder as well. Those in positions to benefit themselves and their families took things for themselves through government such as the excellent paying jobs and benefits package that Congress voted themselves largesse, for example. This all comes at the expense of the taxpayers. Since then, we have become a country of freebies and government giveaways. Bastiat stated of Socialism:

“Everyone wants to live at the expense of the state. They forget that the state lives at the expense of everyone.” Frédéric Bastiat

Simply put this means that their is always a price for government giveaways, that price is your freedom.

He further said:

“But how is this legal plunder to be identified? Quite simply. See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong. See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.” Frédéric Bastiat, The Law
That is what exactly happens as is proven by the disparity in our gap between the rich and the poor. It can also be seen by the legal system which continuously creates laws which curtail our freedoms and expands the government to its current leviathan form.
We have become a country thats major employer is the U.S. Government! Where do you think all that money comes from? That's right TAXES! How does this Socialist activity come into existence? Through laws and bad legislation which seek to make government dependents out of us all, or most of us save for  the rich. What is law asks Bastiat? It is the collective organization of the individual right to lawful defense!`In other words, laws were not meant to impede liberty, but rather to expound upon it. It is only through Socialism that we find ourselves mired in State Stautes which curtail freedoms.
Conversely, Congressman and Presidential hopeful Ron Paul is the only candidate that seems to get this and fully comprehends that we are on a road to economic mayhem which will abruptly culminate in economic collapse if drastic measures are not taken immediately, which is what he proposes in his plan to resore America to a far better state than what we think we have today.
For those of you who want to more fully grasp why Ron Paul is far and beyond any other candidate running for the office of president it is crucial that you understand what is currently going on in our economy and what has been happeneing the past hundred years. Below I will provide a link to the Mises Institute and a short (2 hour) audiobook titled The Law, by Frederick Bastiat in which you will most probably come to stark realizations you never thought of within 15 minutes of listening. I plead with you to take some time to endeavor to understand our plight and listen to this audiobook. I'm not asking you to give up your football games and sporting events, I'm just asking you to take a short time to understand what it is your government is doing to us all and the repercussions which are certain to follow if we don't take action immediately.
